Program Overview

Interested? Here's a sample of what to expect.

The LDP-C is designed to give you successful entry into FedEx Kinko's Office and Print Center operations and management through a comprehensive, blended training strategy. Here's how it works:

First session — basic training/local branch

During your first eight weeks, you'll be a Center team member in your local market, getting hands-on training and shift experience. You'll report directly to the district manager and receive full-time training on the systems, processes and machines FedEx Kinko's Office and Print Centers use to produce quality work for our customers.

Second session — Kinko's Leadership Development training/Dallas, TX

Your second eight weeks focus on classroom and in-branch training with the other LDP-C participants. For this phase of your training, you'll report directly to the program manager.

Topics addressed during this period include:

  • FedEx Kinko's leadership training
  • FedEx Kinko's financial training
  • Human resources training
  • Customer service training
  • Center operations training

Instructors for these courses include the program manager, branch managers, corporate executives, district managers, outside training facilitators and FedEx Kinko's Office and Print Services CEO Gary Kusin.

During this time, you'll also be enrolled in an executive mentor program that pairs you with a senior FedEx Kinko's executive. This person serves as your personal coach and sounding board throughout the program and all along your journey into branch management.

Third session — Acting assistant Manager/local branch

After your second eight-week period is complete, you'll be assigned as an acting assistant manager at a Center in your local market. During this time, you'll be responsible for the full functional management of your shift — including team member leadership and supervision, system/process management and some financial responsibilities. You'll report directly to your district manager.

After the final six months, most LDP-C participants should be prepared to assume a Center manager position. However, performance varies per participant and some additional training may be required.

The opportunity to go somewhere new is a big reason why I applied to Kinko’s Leadership Development Program in the beginning. Combined with Kinko’s professionalism, quick response time and personal involvement from the executive level down, it seemed like a good move for me, and I haven’t been disappointed...

"I am extremely proud to be in the program and hope every participant appreciates and enjoys this experience."

"We've been provided an extraordinary opportunity to learn from people who've risen to the top in one of the top companies."
- Dan Snyder
